Institutional Abuse
Institutional abuse refers to the mistreatment, neglect, or exploitation mistreatment, neglect, or exploitation of individuals within an organised and structured setting such as a facility, organisation, or institution, where individuals are entrusted to receive care, education, or support. This form of abuse typically arises from systemic failures, inadequate policies, or a culture within the institution that permits or overlooks harmful behaviours.
